I have never sent a love letter on Valentine's Day, but I am sure I would do it tomorrow if I was in the Netherlands. Why? Because you can send them free of charge! All you need is use a lipstick kiss instead of stamp ans post it on Friday 13th before pm.
Update: And it worked!
wow! I wish more countries would do something like that :)
ReplyDeleteI would send some letters!
DeleteA great way to promote snail mail!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am excited that you received your MM/CB card... looking forward to seeing a blogpost about it.
Coming soon!
DeleteHmm, I'm living in the Netherlands, but there's one problem... I don't have lipstick at all!...
ReplyDelete(One consolation: the lipstick-kiss-print-stamp only works for national mail, within the Netherlands only, while I would like to send a lot of this mail internationally :-) )
I am curious to know how the backs of the post(wo)men will be and feel like, this Saturday's evening, as I expect bags, no, even tons of mail to be delivered then!
I read in the news that usually there are half million of Valentines in the Netherlands. But PostNL says that the exact number is impossible to know.
DeleteThe funny fact about the news is that they have "trained" the machines to recognize lipstick as stamps.
wow, this is really great!!
ReplyDeleteDo you have a lipstick... or are you like Heleen and me? ;-)
DeleteI have one of these cacao lipsticks for cold Winters :DDD but it's transparent!
DeleteOk, I see... It is full of vamps around here ;)
