Two postcards sent by John (the UK) about a favourite topic.
The postcard above shows a the painting Woman Reading (1921) by Leon Kamir-Kaufman, a 19th century Polish Artist. The postcard below is Meditation (c. 1871) by French painter Claude Monet (1840-1926). Both are in the Musée d'Orsay.
The one bellow should be an 'almost reading' postcard. I'd include it in your series.

ReplyDeleteAnd funny how we can interprete a picture differently :-) I image the one below as 'just read': to my opinion she looks like she is overthinking the content of the, probably sad, book...
When I saw the second postcard, I thought she had just finished the book, and she was sad because she had finished a good book (not necessarily sad).
