Ink Dries

«Letter writing in my present abode is a rather difficult mater; the climate being warm, ink dries, and paper gets scorched, but we manage it somehow, and also it is a task to write in modern English.»

From a letter reproduced in Outraged of Tunbridge Wells, edited by Nigel Cawthorne

  1. Beautiful quote, and I like your title of this blog post :-)

    1. It's so hot right now here that everything dries! (Good for the painting of the house, at least!)

Thank you for coming. All your comments make me extremely happy.
