HitM | Old House

Another contribution to the Houses in the Mail project, sent by Phillip (the USA). He made this envelope more than 25 years ago (!!) and, obviously, it is impossible to remember where this house is placed.

Update: You can see the before on the sender's blog.

I like how the stamps integrate on the design. By the way, this guy is appearing a lot on my mail, lately!

    2. The original envelopes were all made from the magazine part of the Independent on Sunday, between 1992 and 1993.

  3. Funny, in Dutch we nickname this type of Volkswagen 'kever', literally 'bug', maybe it is similar to the coccinelle Fafa is writing?

Great envelope, and indeed so matching, the stamps :-)

The bricks remind of the UK, but do I spot 'fachwerk'? (wood and stone integrated, above of the door, below the windows of the 1st floor)? That makes me think of Germany..?

    1. By searching on the internet I see there are timber frame houses in the UK too :-) (which I could have known, as Shakespeare's birth house has some construction like this, too..)
