One trend on my recent mail from the USA has been that the third stamp doesn't make it. One of these fell at home, so I could retrieve it. But the rest never reached me. Sometimes, postal machines are ruthless with vintage stamps!
With a postmark of “Accident” I am not surprised at missing stamps!

Is it the machines, or postcards printed on shiny non-absorbent paper that you can't even write on properly?
No, the postcards are normal ones, pen-friendly and thick enough.
I continue to be impressed with how tough modern stamps are. It is a pity the stamps went missing.
Luckily, this only happens from time to time.
