    1. As read on the Wikipedia:

"The Latin word saxifraga means literally 'stone-breaker', from Latin saxum ("rock" or 'stone') + frangere ('to break'). It is usually thought to indicate a medicinal use for treatment of urinary calculi (known as kidney or bladder stones), rather than breaking rocks apart."

  3. Very Pretty. I usually don't think of plants as endangered.

    1. The first thought when you read "endangered" goes to animals, and especially the big ones. But a lot of plants and little animals are also in danger.
