Drawn Smurf

Sent by Shion (Japan).

First Smurf drawn by Shion on the back of a postcard. I just love it.

Smurfs on Pictures

Sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).

There are people who like taking pictures of Smurfs. She is lucky to meet the blue creatures so frequently, because it is not easy, as you know. Here you can see some pictures of Smurfs I have received so far.

Orphaned Postcards Project

I wrote to Postmuse some time ago to participate in her amazing project Orphaned Postcard Project. Did you hear about it? It's described as Sending postcards worldwide for recipients to send back to me with a message and postmark. The aim is to connect postcards with people. I love the idea, as you can imagine, so I decided to take part in the project.

How does it work? If you want to adopt a postcard, you can take a look at the database of waiting and adopted postcards. Then you choose a postcard connected with you in some way and you request for it. You receive the postcard, you write your message on and you send it back. It can't be easier! You can read more about the project here and here.

I've received my requested postcards inside this fantastic handmade envelope:

I've sent two of them so far. It remains the third one waiting to be sent.

Update: Sent!

Tube Maps

Three tube maps related postcards sent by Laura (the UK).

The fist one is a collage made by Laura from a real map of London's tube... But please, notice the name of stations: do you want to go until Compassion, or do you prefer to stop at JoyI published it some time ago.

The second one is about Shakespeare plays. It's absolutely amazing!

And the third postcard, also inspired in London's tube, shows the original names of pubs in Canterbury. Who doesn't like to drink a beer in The Flying Horse, The Bishop's Finger, the Rose & Crown and so on?

Decorated Letter

Sent to Laura (the UK).

Letter decorated with rubber stamps. Sorry because the picture is not very good...

Hairdo

Sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).
Orange letter by the occasion of Queen's Day. 30th April would be my favourite day if I lived in the Netherlands, because of the orange, of course. Please, notice the Queen's crown on the envelope. And, as you see some orange items that arrived inside this envelope... And please, notice also the similarities between this Hello Kitty's hairstyle and the Queen's hairstyle on the stamp...

Mama Feelgoods

Sent by Laura (the United Kingdom).
I love the silly idea of having the same postcard twice, the big and the small version. And this cheese looks delicious...

Pizza Mail

Received from Heleen (the Netherlands).
Visual poetry on a pizza cardboard box, turned into a mailable object.
Also published here.
