I usually plan my trips from
lighthouse to lighthouse. I can do hundreds of kilometres only for taking a
picture in a lighthouse. I have visited some lighthouses in different
countries. I read several books (and articles, and magazines) about this matter. I collect all king of stuff about lighthouses (postcards, stamps, articles, books, pictures, bookmarks...). And I never get tired
of checking how amazing are these eyes in the night.
When I joined the Postcrossing site, one of the main aims was get more postcards of lighthouses in order to complete my collection. (But, of course, the fun of snail mail do not finish in lighthouses!).
You can see below some stamps with lighthouses I have received so far, and here you can check my on line album of postcards of lighthouses, sent by friends and postcrossers. Just a little part of the collection!

Impressionant. Has llegit la pell freda, doncs?
ReplyDeleteNo encara.
DeleteImpressionant la col·lecció? Tinc uns quants àlbums... Hi ha qui li agraden les llepolies, hi ha qui li agraden els fars. Tot té avantatges i inconvenients: els fars no es mengen, però estan a llocs bonics... ;-)
Eva, l'enllaç no em funciona!
ReplyDeleteIt works now!
DeleteYou have an impressive collection. I have also been tempted to drive for many hours to see and photograph a lighthouse!
ReplyDeleteIt's my perfect idea for holidays... :)
DeleteWow! I can see you're truly a lighthouses enthusiast! You inspire me to post my lighthouses postcards as this is also a favorite theme.

ReplyDeleteFantastic collection! And I, like you, also love visiting lighthouses. There is something so stoic yet elegant about them. You could even say they are romantic. Anyhow - I think your collection is amazing! I am a little jealous! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It's for that I collect lighthouses. But I usually says I don't collect only stuff (postcards, stamps, books...) about lighthouses, but visits. One of my passions is visit lighthouses in different country.
DeleteBy the way, my collect is far bigger that the stamps in the post!
Thanks for your visit!
My I think you have us all beat. and this is only part of your collection! Now I can see the full German Set, of which I have only one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating, and I hope you come back, even if the theme is not lighthouses. :-)
I'm preparing a post to participate next week... (Now I've discovered how it works, I must say).
DeleteI'm not a stamp collector, strictly. These stamps are on the letters and postcards I've got, some of them trough Postcrossing. So I won't "win" any more, don't worry ;-) This was just my favourite subject!
Thanks for your initiative, it's cool.
