Retro Men

I have an album of postcards of Retro Women... But it isn't so usual to get retro men by snail mail. I wonder why.

Postcard sent by Laura (the UK), that I added to Maria's link Postcards for the Weekend. This week's theme is Retro/Vintage.

  1. Eva, I love that first one! In the second one, the doggie is super cute, appearing to read the newspaper :)

    1. It's true. I must add it to my album of "Reading animals" :D

      Thanks for visiting, Emily!

  2. I love that humorous British retro serie :-) One of my Dutch postcard dealers sells them too and I must confess that there are some waiting to be sent to you since a few years..

Just saw your album, and the 'do it now' card is so funny, too (and matching, concerning my delay :-) )

  3. These postcards are adorable. I'm here at your page just after lunch so I am totally wanting a "siesta", just like your first retro man. And yes, that puppy on the second card looks as curious as the man reading the newspaper as to what's being said on that page :D Thanks for sharing!!

  5. Hi Eva, I did take a look at your album of Retro Women. Lots of cool images there! I especially love one near the center of the page, which says, “Once you realize we are all mad, life starts to make sense.” Wow, now that is something to think about! :-) Your Retro cards are neat! The guy in the deck chair, apparently on a cruise ship, is classic! Yes, those were the guys who slept through the recession. :-) The more I see of your blog, the more I like it. You do a great job here! Thanks for sharing and for your comments on my blog as well. John

    1. Hello, John. Thanks for looking to the album. I'm glad that you mention that image, because, as I've just written to Heleen on a comment above, it's one of my favourite postcards ever. I've kept it on the fist page of my notebook during months :)

I'm happy that you like the blog and came here!
