By dog or owl, not surprising! In 1860, the US initiated the Pony Express which sent letters via fast horses from Missouri to California in ten days. It only survived a year until the introduction of telegraph service in 1861! Today it takes about five days to send a letter the same distance via the postal service. Not much improvement but the horses are happier!

ReplyDeleteIt's crazy that times of delivering letters are nowadays the same, or even longer, than a century ago!
