Today's Sunday Stamps topic is Poets/Writers. I have realised that I have got a lot of stamps dedicated to American writers. I am uploading some of them, of writers from whom I have read at least one book (although, in some cases, it was long ago).
William Faulkner 1897-1962 |
Nella Larsen 1891-1964 |
Ursula K. Le Guin 1929-2018 |
Jack London 1876-1916 |
John Steinbeck 1902-1968 |
A great collection today. I cannot say the same, I think I've only read work by two of them.
ReplyDeleteBut you have read more than one by Le Guin ;)
DeleteThis is true - I have read almost all of her science fiction work, and many of her short stories in other genres.
DeleteFor some reason Jack London has never looked as I expected. Except for Nella Larsen, I believe I have read something by each of the others. (or at least seen a play)
ReplyDeleteI think his sort of wild hair fits him :)
DeleteGreat selection today! I have not seen some of these stamps.
ReplyDeleteSome of these can be considered vintage, but I've ot all of them recently.
DeleteAn I have read them all except Le Guin!
ReplyDeleteOn my team :)
DeleteAnd Le Guis is worth reading ;)
DeleteNice collection: Faulkner's stamp is really nice!
ReplyDeleteI love that vintage stamps, too.
DeleteThe Le Guin is one of my favourite stamps. My 'never read' gap is Larsen. Sadly you rarely see a Tennessee Williams play staged nowadays, seems to have fallen out of fashion.
ReplyDeleteMine, too! I almost showed it again, but that would have been the third time.
DeleteI read Passing not long ago, and I enjoyed it.
