Sunday Stamps | USA Writers

Today's Sunday Stamps topic is Poets/Writers. I have realised that I have got a lot of stamps dedicated to American writers. I am uploading some of them, of writers from whom I have read at least one book (although, in some cases, it was long ago).

William Faulkner
1897-1962

Nella Larsen
1891-1964

Ursula K. Le Guin
1929-2018

Jack London
1876-1916

  1. A great collection today. I cannot say the same, I think I've only read work by two of them.

    1. But you have read more than one by Le Guin ;)

    2. This is true - I have read almost all of her science fiction work, and many of her short stories in other genres.

  2. For some reason Jack London has never looked as I expected. Except for Nella Larsen, I believe I have read something by each of the others. (or at least seen a play)

  6. The Le Guin is one of my favourite stamps. My 'never read' gap is Larsen. Sadly you rarely see a Tennessee Williams play staged nowadays, seems to have fallen out of fashion.

    1. Mine, too! I almost showed it again, but that would have been the third time.
