Now that I have got the $1 stamp, I realise that, actually, "the designs become more complex as the denominations rise" (from the USPS site). What a clever design!
More stamps showing beautiful patterns, from the USA and China:
Great work, USPS! That's really clever. I would never have noticed right away how the complexity of the design increases with the stamp's value. It's a fantastic detail!
Those US stamps are so pretty. The second set made me think of a kaleidoscope.
ReplyDeleteThat's the name of this issue!
DeleteThe US stamps are really nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I love them, and the 5$ is not so usual. As Viridian wrote, not an everyday stamp. I'm glad I got it.
DeleteI featured the $5 stamp in my post too.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteOh, I saw the one in purple before this post, and now I see all colors! Those are so pretty! Very interesting patterns, and how they get more complex.
ReplyDeleteI find them a clever design. The stamps are really pretty in person, with those metallic lines.

I agree with you :)
DeleteI like foiled stamps, you have done a great job showing the foil on one of the $1, tricky to do.
ReplyDeleteTaking pictures of foiled stamps is everything but easy!
