Jigsaw Mail

I think this is the most difficult mail experiment I have carried out so far. I wanted to send this message to Heleen (the Netherlands).

I draw it it in the back of four similar envelopes:

So I obtained these (front):

I sent one of them from Morocco and then the second one from Spain. As I wanted every envelope arriving from a different country, I ask two friends for help (don't worry: I paid them in kind. In postcards, to be precise). So Laura sent the third envelope from the UK and Micu sent the last one from Hungary. So... five postal services involved in the matter!

I am not sure if I am going to repeat this. I was too anxious waiting for the four letters to arrive! But finally they did safe and sound. Here you can see two of them (from Spain and Morocco):

  1. Did she receive some of them together/the same day?

    1. I think they arrived in different days, but I'm not sure. We have to ask Heleen!

    2. I received all of them in very different days, different weeks even. All together I think it took a month before the four of them arrived. And I was very much amazed to see the puzzle pieces arrive from four different countries! Especially the one from Hungary (because as far as I knew Eva didn't travel there - but later I realized it was with the help of Micu!).

Thank you again very, very much, Eva! And also many thanks to Laura and Micu :-)
To me it was - besides your Museum sent by mail - one of the most special mail I've ever received!

And your anxious waiting was extended by my lack-of-time-to-blog-or-reply-immediately... (I still have to blog them, sorry for my delay..)

    3. We agree, because the museum and this one are, also for me, two of the most special pieces of mail I've sent!

Don't worry about blogging, please. It's better that you spend your spare time drawing... :-)

  2. Very creative, both in making the jigsaw and the way you went about sending it. I like how you made the airmail edges for the whole picture.

    1. Thank you again, Micu! Your collaboration was priceless. You put a smile in Heleen's face. It's about mailing smiles, isn't it?
