Envelope made of tracing paper and tape, sent to Eric (France), for his 50th birthday. It contained a knitted 50:
It arrived one or two days after the due date. But Eric is still 50, isn't he? And his mail art call about this subject (Fifty) will remain open until the end of 2016. See the details in his blog, and all the creations he has received so far.
That is so cool, Eva - what a clever idea to send it in a translucent envelope! And did you and Eric plan on blogging them the same day?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you like it :)
DeleteI wonder if he guessed what it was before opening the envelope...
I was waiting for Eric to receive it to blog about. As I didn't have any post prepared for today, I wrote it when I saw on Eric's blog. So no plan here!
If you look at the picture that Eric posted, you can see that it is quite difficult to postmark this kind of envelopes. I was afraid it didn't make it, but the post office workers were wonderful this time!
DeleteI love it when unusual mail travels perfectly through the systems.
DeleteWow, that is a beautifully knitted '50'! Great envelope, too.
ReplyDeleteGood mail which makes Eric start his new year good!
