Travelling through Letters

The envelope below was sent by John (the UK), and it is covered with fabric. It travelled well, surprisingly.

Among other postcards, it contained this second-hand postcard of The Needles.

Slower Than a Tweet

But undoubtedly more interesting! Mail art envelope sent by John (the UK), with the nice addition of Beatrix Potter stamps.

Welcome, Smurfs!

Postcards sent by John (the UK). The first illustration by Stepsone, and the second by Darkdream.

And this amazing 3D collage was sent by Micu (Hungary). I guess it is made by reused materials, and the result is pretty. The little Smurfette is a real one. I just put her next to the mushroom to take the picture (and because I thought she could like it).

5 Years | Congratulations Cards

Folded stitched postcard made by Eva (Germany). I usually do not publish the messages inside, but I think you should see her beautiful calligraphy...

Paper doll folded postcard sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).

Alice in Wonderland celebrating a birthday (or un-birthday) party sent by Laura (the UK).

(I received the postcards above, among other presents, for my birthday. Still people are not crazy enough to write directly to the blog itself!)

Lost Tape

Thanks to this post, I remembered this mail art call to which I contributed last summer (1 and 23). I was glad to read that the exhibition was successful. And of course I had a browse to the pictures looking for my postcards:

Then I discovered a slight difference between one of the postcards I sent...

Travelled snail mail is often left with scars!

Include your name, e-mail address, website/blog if you have one, so
I can notify you when your piece is posted.

I have also sent this postcard. It is not mail art (not made by me, I mean). But I could not resist when I saw a square-wheel bike on it...

Also published here and here.

Winter Girl

Letter sent to Laura (the UK).

The Powerful Winter Fairy

Sent to Melissa (USA) as my contribution to December's Mail a Smile Challenge. The theme was Winter Fairytale, so I decided to send the Winter Fairy (removable paper doll). Yes: she seems delicate and fragile, but I assure you she is really powerful!

Almost all the materials are reused (except for some tapes).
