Peace & Love

I received this handmade postcard from Heleen (the Netherlands) as her contribution to the Challenge #35 of Mail a Smile. That was the last challenge, and it was... ehem... two months ago. But every moment is a good moment to share this beautiful art and to spread the wishes of peace & love. Do not you think so?

Clotheslines

Postcard sent to Ambró and Bubi (Hungary), for the Challenge #30 of Mail a Smile project.

I would like have sent something better (considering it was me who had chosen the topic...! This is a favourite), but I just could not. Anyway, the aim of Mail a Smile is just... what its name means. A simple postcard can make someone's day. Don't you feel like participating the next time? There is a challenge every month!

Freda!

Yesterday arrived this small parcel from Micu (Hungary) and... Can you guess what it contained? Freda, one of the smiles senders of the Mail a Smile project:

Thanks to Kakaó, she has come to spend few weeks with me. I hope she is going to enjoy the beach and the hot weather.

I forgot to say... she didn't arrive empty-handed, but with some nice surprises:

Books & Roses

Collage sent to Kay's grandma (Canada), as my contribution to the Challenge #27 of Mail a Smile.

The theme was Flowers and Plants. Of course I had to choose roses, because April 23rd is Saint George's Day, and in my country we celebrate the Books and Roses Festival. You are still on time to buy a book and/or a rose for someone you love!

Sending books from Morocco is a customs nightmare. So this year I just send some postcards (to the Netherlands, the USA and the UK). I hope all they have arrived on time!

Arrived!

The Powerful Winter Fairy

Sent to Melissa (USA) as my contribution to December's Mail a Smile Challenge. The theme was Winter Fairytale, so I decided to send the Winter Fairy (removable paper doll). Yes: she seems delicate and fragile, but I assure you she is really powerful!

Almost all the materials are reused (except for some tapes).

My Best Friend Is a Dinosaur

Sent to Nicole and her family (USA), as my contribution for Challenge #22 of Mail a Smile. The theme chosen was My Best Friend is a Dinosaur, so I attempt to draw two dinosaurs... who can't hug because their arms are too short.

I added two postcards:

The theme this month is very inspiring: By the Ocean or the Beach. You can still participate. Do not feel like sending a blue smile by snail mail?

Rose Cream

Sent to Gabi (the UK).

I made this postcard for the 14th Challenge of Mail a Smile. The theme for this month was Ice-cream. As usual, I made the postcard with recycled materials: cardboard from a cereal box and a nice rose-cream cut from a magazine. I added some stickers (of Alice in Wonderland), washi tape and a happy rubber-stamped sun.

Hand-made postcard sent to Karla (Spain) as part of Challenge #13 of Mail a Smile. The theme was Black & White, but I added some pink and red because I thought birthday postcards need to be cheerful. The envelope:

Origami Heron

Postcard sent to Piper (the USA), as my contribution to the January's challenge of Mail a Smile. The theme was Birds, so I also put two birds on the envelope.

I have just (re)discovered Paper Saturdays, and I decided to link this post.

A Year To Remember

Sent to Laura (the UK).

This little task (tarea) was sent as part of a special New Year envelope as my contribution to the Challenge #11 of Mail a Smile. The theme was A day to remember, but I changed it a little: A year to remember. I dared to draw (again) Little Red Riding Hood, and added some little items, as these New Year Chinese envelope (without money!):

The theme for the currently challenge is Birds. You have until January, 31 to participate!

By the way... haven't you checked yet the new Dani & Micu's project, You Made My Day

Mail a Smile

Sent to Kinga (Hungary), the recipient of the smiles for the Challenge #10 of the Mail a Smile Project.

The challenge of every month consists in sent mail art according to a theme. In November the theme was Funny Faces. This wonderful postcard is not hand-made, as I bought it in a toyshop. But in a way this is mail art, because it is a removable sticker.

The theme of Challenge #11 is A day to remember. But the last challenge of 2013 but this month is a special one: you can choose the recipient, and (s)he must be someone you really care about. Someone who deserves a letter from you. Really appealing, isn't it?

The 80ies

Sent to Katarina (Hungary).

I made this collage to participate in the challenge #8 of Mail a Smile (see the gallery!). The theme was the 80ies, so I chose Naranjito, the mascot for the 1982 FIFA World Cup, hold in Spain. As all the children in those days, I felt in love with this little orange!

But I sent also this postcard of Madonna (made of bar codes of her CDs. Amazing, isn't it?), and an envelope with 80ies colours made of wrapping paper.

By the way, the theme for the Challenge #9 is Spain. You can participate until October 31st.
