Booklet Letter

The most delightful letter received from Rosemary (Canada). The letter itself is written on a handmade booklet:

And the envelope made of an old children book (I think), a sort of vocabulary of games:

5 Years | Congratulations Cards

Folded stitched postcard made by Eva (Germany). I usually do not publish the messages inside, but I think you should see her beautiful calligraphy...

Paper doll folded postcard sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).

Alice in Wonderland celebrating a birthday (or un-birthday) party sent by Laura (the UK).

(I received the postcards above, among other presents, for my birthday. Still people are not crazy enough to write directly to the blog itself!)

Mix Collages

Collage sent by Keith (USA), among other surprises.

I love some tiny details on the envelope...

I have received two days ago another piece of mail art that I relate to this postcard (in my mind, beads and sequins are connected). It was made by PostMuse (USA) for the Oz Postcard Project. Even if some spangles were lost in way... Can you imagine a more clever way to represent the Deadly Poppies Field and the Emerald City?

Another Blue Collage

Collage sent by Emily (the UK).

I like the way she used the security patterns to make this blue composition. It arrived a bit damaged, almost in tow parts. But happily it arrived!

Autumn

Sent by Postmuse (the USA).

Thank you card for my forth contribution to the Orphaned Postcard Project. Stitched collage with beautiful vintage stamp. Indeed she sent me this postcard some months ago, but I thought it could be appropriate to publish it in the beginning of autumn. I love the autumn colours in the postcard (better in real than in the picture, sorry). She wrote that she had enjoyed a lot stitching postcards instead of gluing them. I believe it, and the result is truly nice.

Two more autumn postcards received from the USA:

Sent by Donna (the USA).

Sent by Misha (the USA).

Oranje-turkooise vuurtorens

Sent by Heleen (the Netherlands).

Wonderful drawn, painted, knitted and stitched postcard. I must admit I was wrong when I told Heleen that this lighthouse (I mean with orange and turquoise stripes) did not exist. Well, it did not exist at that time, but due to a transitory lack of imagination. I did not count on people making up original lighthouses, for themselves or for their lucky friends.

The lighthouse hangs on the wall, but it means I will be able to see only one of both sides... What a pity!

Heleen published the work in her blog so you can see she posted the lighthouse in a matched mail box (I have "matched stamps", but I have not "matched mail box" among the tags of the blog...). I am still waiting for the snail; (s)he has not arrived yet.

1st Round Stamp in USA Postal History

I got this stamp and I learnt it is the first round stamp in USA postal history. It is amazing indeed.

I like a lot stamps with different, sometimes strange shapes.
