I received your Smurf, thank you so much!!! Your smurf (umbrella) was high on my list to post on nogmeerpost, but alas, due to my crashed desktop computer I cannot scan and post it (and still didn't find the right person to ask to look at/repair my computer). So I am happy to see you did!
By the way, I am amzed to read it is raining for weeks, I thought your country/countries is/are so much to the south that rain only lasts for a day or two...? Usually my (and John's) country is known for the grey rainy days, but apart from grey clouds all the time, here, it has been raining only a few days in the past weeks..
Nice card of raining men, by the other way, looks like a Magritte painting?
But the North of Morocco is more or less like the North of Spain. Last year was unusually dry, but the normal is that in Autumn it rains and rains and rains... Night and day, right now!
And yes, that postcard is a Magritte painting. I bought it last year in Bruxelles. Raining men... isn't it scaring?
'Raining men' reminds me of a happy song so at first sight I didn't think it scary. But now that you say so, indeed it might be painful for both and men in case the man falls on us. But they look smurflike small.
Oops, when I posted my previous comment, the smurf faces all where distributed randomly, as rainsmurfs do. But blogspot has put them in order. A weird type of rain, heavy rain probably :o)
My brother sent me just two little movies of the rain in southern Spain - on from his car window, he hardly could drive (but he succeeded in arriving at his destination), and one of a neighbouring village, in which cars were flooded away by the flood between houses... I hope the rain at your place will stop soon (or hopefully already has stopped), I now realize how it really cn be an incredibly and amazingly bad amount of water...

DeleteAs the rain we're enjoying today...

Yes, they have been some accidents. Tell your brother not to take risks!
DeleteIn Morocco is les tough. Now there are some problems with snow, but not here, in the north. It never snows in this city!
The umbrella cards arrived today - thank you! Funny, I had no idea from this post that they were on their way.
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to spoil the surprise. But, certainly, I thought they would have arrived by the time I published this post. So it took almost a month!
DeleteNow I wonder if you have got a letter with spiders as well (not the Halloween ones!). I hope so!
I did... a large red web on the beach, right? I feel like I wrote to you about it, but maybe that was just in my mind?
DeleteMaybe it was just in your minds, or maybe you wrote on a postcard/letter that hasn't arrived yet. But thenks for letting me know!
