Don't be such a guzzler, Mail Monster! |
But it really was! When the Mail Moster came back all the way from Canada, it has swallowed another envelope (the red one)!
You can see here a big scary Mail Monster, awaiting for fresh letter to be posted:
And Barb's answer to the question:
I've never heard of mail monsters before but the more I think about it the more I'm pretty sure they exist. Take for example how sometimes mail travels with rapid speed between two places and other times takes forever to reach destination. Perhaps the mail monster ate too much candy for breakfast and was working in hyper-alive :)
Then, there are times when a letter simply vanishes or shows up months later with 'return to sender'after so much time you actually forgot all about sending it. Perhaps, the mail monsters have a unique sense of humor and send mail to the wrong people... on purpose?
Barb is so spot on here. I have sent cards to her locale in Canada which is about 1000 km from where I live in the US. Why can I drive there in 12 hours but it takes ten days for a postcard to get there? Mail monsters along the border no doubt!
ReplyDeleteThere is no other explanation! ;)
ReplyDelete:D
DeleteGreat monsters, love the envelopes-gruzzling mm :-)
ReplyDeleteEating envelopes must be another kind of mail addiction!
DeleteLove the mailbox monster. And what a fun idea to add to your monster on the envelope.
ReplyDeleteSome of the participants in the project have explained me about the monsters that live in mailboxes.
DeleteFor some reason I think about them in the mail sorting machines, although I know some people think some mailboxes are not good ones to post into. And then there is also your story about Greece (still no postcard from there, by the way).
DeleteThere is a mail box where I'm living now that we call "the magic one". Because, last summer, I posted a postcard into it, and it arrived in the United Kingdom the following day (?!?).
DeleteThat is magic, for sure.
