Another enjoyable submission for the Houses in the Mail project: a reproduction of Painting the Little House by Norman Rockwell (1921).
Four days ago, I received a sort of Christmas version of the postcard above: Christmas:Santa with Elves (1922), by the same painter. It appeared as a cover for The Saturday Evening Post.
This one not only arrived with seasonal Christmas and Kwanzaa stamps, but directly from the North Pole!
Update: And another one from the same painter!

All these postcards sent by Bryon (the USA).
Love that North Pole postmark!
ReplyDeleteMe too, thanks!
DeleteSure, how special to receive a postmark from the North Pole :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the cards and the Kwanzaa stamp, too!
I'm sure that means my Christmas gifts are on the way ;-)
DeleteI have read the instructions for how to get a North Pole postmark before, but never tried it myself. Nice idea, Bryon, and it came out great.
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice surprise. My nieces would adore that!
DeleteWe could figure out a plan for next year, if you like. We would just have to be organized and plan ahead :)
DeleteIt would be great. I must remember about it, let's say... in September?
DeleteIf you use an online calendar you can set yourself a reminder...
DeleteThat's a good idea. But I'm going to write it on my paper notebook too... ;)
