Book Store Day

I didn't know there were a Book Store Day until Heleen (the Netherlands) sent this postcard.

Se send also a couple of postcards featuring Fiep Westendorp's character celebrating the day... Reading, of course!

  1. I didn't know about this, either. What a great card. The independent bookstore on my street remains closed due to the crisis, however they still do online orders. Bought 3 jigsaws from there right before they closed.

    1. Update - they are now open - you have to sign up for an entry time window.

    2. It's the same here, but depending on the zones.
Anyway... we haven't any bookstore near home :|

    3. If you don't want to go in person, and you don't know what to order, you can give them some information about yourself and they will hand pick a selection for you.

    4. That's a great service.
But, in my case, I always know what to order. I have a long wishlist of books!

    5. I enjoy the serendipity of wandering around bookshops and finding books or authors I did not know before. That's what I'm really missing while the bookshops and charity shops are closed.

    6. In Spain the bookshops are open (although no bookshop in my town), but, apparently, you can't touch the books.
